OAR Results and Other Stuff

My OAR tests results are back.  They are actually better now then when we did it in 2012 the first time.  That surprised everyone.  I suppose I needed to be an old ass (39) or the loss of almost 30 pounds helped.  They go by scores according to certain tests they run.  In 2011, my score was 12 (good) and we got 8 embryos, of which we got pregnant 3 times.  In 2013 my score was 8 (fair), where we only got the one "zombie" embryo.  It was so complex abnormal we had to destroy it..... 5 days after taking it out of the incubator (hence the zombie part as it continued to replicate and grow normally with only having 6 normal pairs of chromosomes - there are 23 pairs).  Jump ahead to 2015, and my score is 11 (good), but 12 is better than 11..... It would be except they did my OAR test on day 4 instead of day 3 like the tests says, so one of the tests is considered high, giving me a lower score.  Make sense??  Everything else is perfect, where in 2011 the scores were lower.  It's a complicated mess.
My migraines are back with a vengeance since I stopped the Trokendi XR.  I have to stop all migraine meds by Feb 1; that means all ways to treat them as well.  Only thing safe is the Vicoprofen or Stadol, but since I tend to bruise really easily, no ibuprofen (which is the other part of the Vicoprofen.  Hydrocodone and Ibuprofen.  Most people take Vicodin, but I'm allergic to Tylenol, so none of those meds).  Seems like my poor IM doc is on speed dial.  RE said no Vicoprofen; to lower the chance of any bleeding.
We decided to go with the  1+1 FET (Frozen Embryo Transfer) contract with PGD (Preimplantation Genetic Diagnosis) testing.  That means if we get normal embryos, and get preggo but miscarry (anything after 23 weeks is considered a pregnancy), we get a second chance at no cost to us (except for the medications).  No, we can't take the "second try" and use it with a GC (gestational carrier).
I will explain the difference of a GC and a Surrogate now so people aren't confused.  A surrogate is a donor egg, my DH sperm making an embryo, and that embryo going into a donor uterus (usually the one that donated the egg).  A CG is my egg, my DH sperm making an embryo, and then the embryo going into a donor uterus.  So some other woman is carrying our biological child.  A surrogate is my DH's biological child, but not mine.
Now that that is out of the way, back to the business at hand.  The DH has to go give a sperm sample next week.  We both have to have all the ID blood tests.  If all looks good, we will try for the harvest in April.  I'll post the actual results of the OAR testing next.
